Madonna's coming! What's it worth to you?

Oct 28 07:56am

Molly Meldrum confirmed this morning that Madonna, following her recent divorce announcement, will be touring Australia as early as January 2009.

Madonna's last Australian tour was the successful Girlie Show in November 1993. Her live shows are often mentioned in concerts you must see before you die.

With negotiations taking place right now with two possible concert promoters, prices are yet to be confirmed. It is also not yet known if Madonna would bring the full stage and production to Australia.

Molly would like to know, what would Australians be prepared to pay to see Madonna live? Tell us below...

I have been the biggest fan ever since sneaking into my brothers room with the headphones as an eight year old (in the 80's) listening to his Like a virgin CD. How can you put a price on your Idol, I would pay $1000 above. No questions.....

I was too young to buy my own tickets when she was last here, and my Parents refused to buy them. Since this may be the only time I will ever get to see her, I would pay almost anything!!! $1000 is no concern on this occassion even if I can only afford $300

I would pay $1000 for a front row seat or higher ! A VIP first 5 rows at $500. Then normal floor tickets at $200 then normal tickets everywhere at $130.

I seriously feel ill because I want this so badly but I just don't believe she will come.

cheers Kylee

Also look at the Prince concert in Oct 2003, that was the best reward. I paid just over $300, got a seat within the first 5 rows, a cd box set, a soundcheck and food/wine at the pre-show party.

Prince also offered a meet & greet at $1000. I would do a meet and greet at any price.

I spent more than four grand to see Madonna in London on her Confessions tour. I'd pay a grand plus to see her to perform again in Sydney no worries.

I paid $ 200 a night for a gold seating tickets to see the three Madonna concerts on her Girly Tour in 93 in Sydney and the rain didn't bother me.

Kurt Fearnley: I was relief teaching in Blayney when I met Kurt as a young school boy. The first thing that struck me was his smile and contagious positive outlook at all times. I see nothing has changed with this outstanding Australian. Although I never saw him again, it is a testament to the power of his personality that I have not forgotten him more than 15 years later.
