Grammy-nominated pop superstars The Pussycat Dolls are heading to
Melbourne in October for Ford Live!, an event created by Ford
Australia, with all money raised going to the National Breast Cancer
Foundation.
The Dolls will be appearing at QBH on Thursday October 16 at an intimate, up close and personal show.
Christina
Applegate, close friend of Robin Antin (founder of The Pussycat Dolls),
earlier this year announced she had undergone treatment for breast
cancer. The Pussycat Dolls’ decision to perform at this event shows
their commitment to creating awareness and to helping women fight the
disease. With October internationally recognized as Breast Cancer
Month, buying a ticket to Ford Live! is just one of the ways you can
help raise money for breast cancer research during the month.
The
Pussycat Dolls, Nicole, Ashley, Jessica, Melody and Kimberly, have just
released their second album, Doll Domination, the follow-up to PCD, the
international smash album that announced their arrival. On Doll
Domination The Pussycat Dolls collaborated with the hottest producers
in music including Timbaland, Cee-Lo and Sean Garrett and the album has
already spawned the hit Platinum single “When I Grow Up”.
Ford
spokesperson, Nick Cummins, is proud to be associated with The Pussycat
Dolls for a great cause. “Ford Live! is a great opportunity for people
to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and at the
same time, see a world class music act in their only Melbourne
appearance.”
This is an over 18’s event and tickets will be
extremely limited so get in quick to ensure your spot to catch The
Pussycat Dolls live onstage, and help raise money towards breast cancer
research. Visit www.nbcf.org.au for more information.

Kurt Fearnley: I was relief teaching in Blayney when I met Kurt as a young school boy. The first thing that struck me was his smile and contagious positive outlook at all times. I see nothing has changed with this outstanding Australian. Although I never saw him again, it is a testament to the power of his personality that I have not forgotten him more than 15 years later.
