Live the Internet in 3D with ExitReality

Sep 19 07:13am

A new way of browsing the internet has been launched allowing computer users to view any webpage in 3D.

Go to the Gadget Guy website now to find out more!

ExitReality offers a new way of browsing sites so instead of picking option on a flat menu, you can walk from section to section - a 'click here' instruction becomes more of a walk here, or step to your left.

The program lets you choose how you look, like selecting your profile on virtual world Second Life as featured previously on Sunrise.

How to try 3-D internet
ExitReality is a "plugin" or small piece of software you can download for free that works on popular internet browsers like Internet Explorer or Firefox.

The software creates a 3D world, which you can explore using a virtual character or "avatar".

So you choose a character that looks like a man or woman and you can control this character to walk around a "room" looking at various links and images on a normal website.

3D Browser
The ExitReality 3D search engine operates in a similar way to other keyword-based search engines; however, ExitReality allows users the ability to search for 3D content.

Warning: This does require a fast broadband connection as Sunrise staff had some problems experiencing a smooth experience on our work-issued PCs. A powerful video card in your computer will also help.

Finally, we see new and better technology emerging. There are plenty of ideas out there that can be put towards just about any technological application. But I am excited about the future!!

Kurt Fearnley: I was relief teaching in Blayney when I met Kurt as a young school boy. The first thing that struck me was his smile and contagious positive outlook at all times. I see nothing has changed with this outstanding Australian. Although I never saw him again, it is a testament to the power of his personality that I have not forgotten him more than 15 years later.
