Do you have one of these in your kitchen?

Sep 02 09:00am

The days of lingering over a cuppa poured from a teapot or preparing every meal from scratch may be over, according to a UK survey.

The survey found labour-saving devices like the microwave take pride of place in today's kitchen, while low-tech items like plastic containers, the bread bin and the souvenir tea towel have fallen out of favour.

The increase in healthy eating habits sees the demise of the chip pan and the rise of the wok and griller.

Is your kitchen filled with the latest electrical gadgets?

Are we missing out by abandoning the crock pot and Tupperware?

I am a working mum and could not live without my slow cooker. I use it at least once a week. Its great, I throw everything in before work and come home to a delicious smelling casserole, roast etc. And, what do you do with those leftovers? Put them in your tupperware container of course!

I have had Tupperware for over 30 years now and very pleased with it until earlier this year when I took the top of my cheese container in to get replaced as it had cracked and was told it couldn't be. So much for life long guarantees.
