| Makes one 30cm pizza |
Ingredients
- Coarse semolina, for dusting
- 1 quantity pizza dough (170 grams)
- Basic pizza sauce
- 1 tablespoon chopped flat-leaf (Italian) parsley
- 75 g grated mozzarella cheese
- 180 g cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 6 basil leaves
- 40 g buffalo mozzarella cheese, torn into 6 pieces
- 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Method
- Place a pizza stone or heavy-based oven tray in the oven and preheat to 250 degrees celsius.
- Lightly dust your workbench with semolina, then roll out the dough into a 30 cm round, place on a pizza tray and prick all over with a fork. Spread the pizza sauce over the base and scatter with the parsley, grated mozzarella and tomatoes. Place the tray on the preheated stone or tray and bake for 5-6 minutes, or until the base is golden and crisp.
- Remove from the oven, top with basil leaves, buffalo mozzarella pieces, sprinkle with grated parmesan and serve.
