We've been putting the finishing touches to our '4 minutes to save the world' campaign. Have you heard about this?
You might have seen that crazy clip with Kochie and Mel dancing around.
Well last week we asked you to write in and tell us how we can help you with a problem in your life, and the response has been extraordinary. We had 400 requests before 12 noon!
So we're starting tomorrow.. by helping a new mum with a very common problem.
Make sure you're watching - it's quite a different segment for us!
And how good does an eight-cents-a-litre discount on petrol sound at the moment?
That's what Queensland drivers are supposed to receive from the government, but Premier Anna Bligh doesn't think the whole amount is getting to them. She's come up with a plan to get around the problem, and we'll find out how it works..
If one state can do it, should others? You should let us know if you think other states should subsidise the cost of petrol, like Queensland does.
Plus you'll see some special guests in the studio - can't say too much right now, but they can certainly spin a yarn or two..
Catch you tomorrow

Aussies are a generous lot. But as we heard from a ROSwall email this week, sometimes you want to be sure the funds you're donating will be put to good use. That's why we're chasing up the charities which do the most with the money they're given.
We've
been looking at some of the early figures this afternoon, and it
certainly makes you think. All the results are revealed tomorrow.
Around the desk, we've been cooing at all your gorgeous puppies
entered into our gallery to find The Cutest Puppy in Australia. One of
us who's especially gooey at the sight is Penny, our publicist. Today,
we've been wishing Penny a happy birthday too. We had to be quick
though, because she took off across town after lunch for a meeting. (At
least that's what she said - perhaps she didn't want to reveal WHAT
birthday it was!)
And who says there's no such thing as a FREE
lunch? We've all enjoyed some food put on by the people here at Seven,
as a team-building exercise. It was also a budget-building exercise for
all of us, who saved our lunch money.
Catch you tomorrow!
PS look out for our latest recruit, talk radio star Ray Hadley!

Anyone
know a radiologist? They're looking for one in North Queensland - and
they'll pay a million dollars for the position! Can you imagine making
that sort of money? Liz is wishing she could do a crash course in it.
Find out why it's worth so much, tomorrow morning.
If we don't
have a dog already - we're certainly thinking about getting one! After
we mentioned puppies this morning, you've sent us thousands of cute
photos, and it's been fun looking at them all.. And they're STILL
coming in! It'll be hard to pick the cutest, but we'll do that.. so
tune in tomorrow to see if your pup gets up.
And the polar
fleece and even some flannies have been sighted around the desk
lately.. Yes, you guessed it - I'm the one wearing the flannelette. But
if you want to keep up with the winter trends, there's a new colour and
style you'll want to hear about. We're getting a lesson from a stylist
in the morning.
See you then!

We've
been told fad diets are no good - but we're all thankful there's now
proof. Tomorrow we'll hear about a woman who lost 60 kilos, to become a
bikini model. And the method behind it is refreshingly simple. A few of
us are going to clean out the pantry tonight, and start some new habits
tomorrow. Promise.
And how lucky is Isabel Lucas? She's become
the darling of Hollywood, but she's still very grounded in Australia.
It's not easy to be that way, when you keep getting roles in big budget
movies! We're hearing from her in the morning, and she might even
confirm something about her lovelife.. Stay tuned.
Speaking of love, an engagement's been announced in the office today. It's congratulations to Ben and Corinne.. We've been checking out the big rock, which Ben had to pay off before he would propose!
See you tomorrow..
PS
and Andrew has been digging through our music library, to find as much
Kylie as he can. It's part of our celebration of her 40th birthday.

The househunting maps are out, and we're daydreaming this afternoon.. Apparently there are still homes available for under $200,000 - but would you want to live there? Not all of us around the desk would be willing to move WAY out, to get a good price. But there are advantages, for some people - and we'll be looking at the issue tomorrow morning.
And here's a hot tip if you're a Powderfinger fan - we've got your first look at their new clip, in the morning.. James has also stitched up some interviews with the stars of the new Narnia movie. It's a real insight into how cast members get along on set.
Plus, this is another highlight: the wild boy Jack Black meets our own Nuala Hafner. But can she tame him?
Catch you tomorrow. Insider.
P.S. Apparently Rove not only watches Sunrise but appreciates Kochie's acting, AND he gets his in-jokes!

We've been comparing supermarket dockets, around the desk this afternoon.
That's
because tomorrow we're asking whether consumers are being ripped off at
the checkout. Some of us have noticed how the shelf price of bread,
juice and cereal fluctuates wildly between supermarkets. Sometimes it's only 20 cents, sometimes a lot more - but it all adds up.
The
biggest difference we've found was a cleaning item which was $17 at
once place, and $26 at another! Let us know about the price differences
you've noticed.
You have to be willing to shop around in your
own time, to get the best deal. But should it have to be like that?
We'll be asking that question in the morning.
And Doc John has been asking us to chase up some medical myths.
You read them in emails sometimes, but are they true? They're pretty
serious stuff in fact, so Doc wants to set the record straight.
See you tomorrow. Insider.

Not all of us have cover - and some that do are thinking of dropping it after the federal budget raised the health insurance levy.
So we're following this up tomorrow, and we'll be asking "will you be dropping your private health cover?"
Let us know what you think tomorrow morning.
Plus this is shocking - pictures of brazen thieves at work.
You'll see these tomorrow - they're caught on camera at the airport, stealing from passengers' bags.
It's outrageous, but how can you avoid being a victim?
We'll get some practical security tips.
See you tomorrow.
P.S. and some people were concerned about Mel changing her hair this morning - rest easy, it was only a wig for Indiana morning!

We were just thinking about how busy Cate Blanchett's been lately..
Frankly
we're in awe of her - a leader at the 2020 Summit, then back in the
public eye to promote her movie career.. and all that so soon after
giving birth.
Tomorrow she'll take stock of her life lately, when we talk with her one-on-one in Cannes.
And the geeks on the desk are wondering if Jurassic Park is about to become true..
You might have heard how dinosaurs could come back to life, because of research on DNA from the extinct Tasmanian tiger.
They've used a mouse to demonstrate the possibility - so from little things, very big and scary things could grow.
We'll break down the goobledegook on the show.
Catch you tomorrow - I'm off to dig up my T-Rex records

++ UPDATED Monday 19 May 4.31pm
They
say a computer keyboard is dirtier than the loo, so all of us here on
the production desk are wondering what germs are lurking between the
letters q and m.
Needless to say, we'll all be watching how to
detox your home in the morning. That's cleaning up everything from toys
to the TV remote control.
There are five main ways to do that, as you'll see tomorrow.
And there are quite a few Coldplay fans here, judging by the interest around the office in the band's new single.
We'll be glued to the screen, because Sunrise is the first Australian media outlet with the clip for "Violet Hill". It's from the album "Viva La Vida".
James will give us a bit of background on how it was recorded too.
Catch you tomorrow,

Not everyone gets to hit the road in search of stories, like our Monique...
A few of us slave over a hot computer keyboard - surfing the net, checking emails and taking phone calls.
So one topic we're covering tomorrow will have some lessons for the Sunrise team.
Chronic back pain can be painful, expensive, debilitating and depressing ... and sitting still in your office chair can start the problem.
I feel a walk to the tea room coming on.
And who loves a wedding?
The girls in the office do -- especially if it's a royal one.
And they couldn't wait to see who was wearing what, when the Queen's grandson Peter Phillips got hitched over the weekend.
Tell us your ideas for some of the telegrams the happy couple got - a letter from the Queen perhaps?
See you tomorrow,

From The Insider
(The first in a new daily blog giving you the update on what's coming up on the next Sunrise)
You didn't hear it from me.
The guys around the office have taken a sudden interest in baby news...
That's because Angelina Jolie has confirmed she's having twins, just as we're getting ready to bring you a one-on-one interview with her tomorrow.
Somehow I don't think they'll be picking out baby names... but they might give Tomb Raider a run tonight, to celebrate.
Just think, end of the week AND an exclusive with the world's sexiest woman!
Must fly - got to see a man about a dog story - you'll get the details on that tomorrow as well
