I hope that I have been able to educate, motivate and inspire many of you. I know I have learned a great deal from interacting with you, and appreciate all who have taken the time to visit and/or respond to my posts. It has really been fun.
I sincerely believe that when it comes to health information, a well informed individual will, more often than not, lead a healthier, longer and more satisfying life. It will also rub off on those around you. Unfortunately, not all health information is created equally, and there is as much bad, misleading mis-information out there as there is credible information.
This creates a major challenge for those committed to acquiring as much knowledge as possible to improve their health, and ultimately their life. So reader beware, and remember the wise words of Mark Twain: "Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint."
The "Training Room" blog has always specialized in sports medicine and exercise-related topics including injuries (both treatment and prevention), nutrition and athletic performance. For credible information in these areas, please turn to:
You can also always count on Yahoo Health to continue to provide top-notch health and fitness information. When you search for health information always double check with reliable sources, and talk to your own doctor. If you haven't already, strive to be a savvy health consumer.
It has never been so important, especially in this rapidly evolving complex modern world of health care. Be your own smart advocate for yourself, your friends, and/or family. When it comes to your health, embrace prevention, but also seek appropriate and timely care and treatment when needed.
For those interested in keeping up with my whereabouts, my thoughts, work and activities can be found on drnick.com, a site committed to keeping you healthy in body, mind and spirit. I am pleased to say that my site will soon have a major upgrade, so please visit. I will also be working on a new book based around my best seller "FrameWork", and possible additional television specials like my award-winning PBS special, "Your Body's FrameWork." In my private orthopaedic practice I will continue to help individuals with knee problems, my specialty area of interest.
I will miss my involvement here, but it has been a wonderful opportunity that I have cherished.
Goodbye... but hopefully not farewell.
Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!
