Good-Bye From Mother Birth

Jun 25 07:58am

Well all good things must come to an end, and Yahoo! has decided to discontinue this pregnancy health blog. I want to thank everyone who has commented (the good and the critical -- because the feedback was helpful) and also those who just read and enjoyed what I had to say.

This has been an incredible ride. Writing on average two articles a week for two and a half years has been intense and interesting. (Remember I have a day -- and night -- job too!) I hope to keep the Wisdom From Mother Birth entries available to readers on my personal website. Meanwhile, my new book The Working Woman's Pregnancy Book, with much of the same information, is getting terrific reviews. Click here to read what moms are saying. And please tell your friends!

I hope to continue to write for the web. If you know a site that could use my brand of pregnancy content, please think of me! Meanwhile, you can find good information about conception, pregnancy, birth, and parenting in The Working Woman's Pregnancy Book, (available whereever books are sold) or check out my personal website http://www.marjoriegreenfield.com/.

Keep in touch! And as I said at the end of my book: Live well and love deeply -- these are amazing years.

Thank you for your candid observations; I will miss them. I am a mother of eight and I especially liked your views on returning to a more natural view of labor and delivery. I, also, do not want to go back to high mortality rates but I feel the current approach is taking away from the intrinsic bond between mother and baby. When necessary, emphatically yes! but don't make it routine.

I am pregnant and you are leaving me? What should I do? Club my newborn baby? Alright, that's what I will do since there is no one to guide me anymore. Thanks, Yahoo.

Why did Yahoo decide to discontinue this? I feel that this decision was not made by someone at yahoo that was a woman between the ages of 20 and 40 or else that would have realized the value of your information. Yahoo- re-think this!
