World exclusive: Heath's love speaks for the first time

As the world continues to mourn the loss of Heath Ledger, his first love, Christie Pitts, speaks to New Idea in a world exclusive interview.

The childhood sweethearts dated for four years, and while Christie is now engaged to another man, she was devastated by the news her high school sweetheart had died. Heath was "deep and honest and soulful", says Christie "my heart goes out to his family".

Christie Pitts I feel sorry for you. It must be hard to hear of the death of your first love and wonder "what might have been"
