Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's 'rainbow family' is about to get another new member with the stars revealing: 'We're pregnant again!'
Hollywood's hottest family will become a 'magnificent seven' in July when Angelina welcomes her second biological child.
She and Brad have spent the past few weeks sharing their joyous news with their closest friends and family before they make an announcement to the rest of the world.
'It really is fantastic - both Angelina and Brad are thrilled,' a friend of the couple says. 'They've told about 20 people, almost all in person, and they're enjoying breaking the happy news and celebrating with everyone who's closest to them.'
The couple has already visited Brad's parents in Springfield, Missouri, allowing them to spend time with his extended family.
'Brad's family celebrated pretty much non-stop, and Brad's mum Jane and Angelina got to spend some time together under the best circumstances, which was really good for their relationship,' the friend adds.
'Everyone knows it wasn't easy for Jane and Angelina to get along at first, and Jane still maintains a close relationship with Jennifer Aniston, but this trip was another huge step in the right direction. And the fact Angelina is carrying Brad's child for the second time means she walks on water in the Pitt home.'
The pregnancy marks a great start to the year for the couple who've been trying for another baby for only a few months. The new bub will add to their brood of four - a sibling for Maddox, six, Pax, four, Zahara, three, and Shiloh, 20 months.
Brad and Angelina are still trying to hide their happy news. At the recent Critics' Choice Awards, Angelina tried to cover up her abstinence from alcohol by ordering a glass of champagne during the reception and a glass of white wine with her meal. But people are already talking.
'She didn't drink any of either, not even a sip - make of that what you will,' a guest says.
Angelina tried another red herring a few days later. She and Brad visited popular Hollywood sushi restaurant Katsuya, but Angelina clearly knew she shouldn't eat any raw fish.
'They did have sushi at the table, but Angelina didn't eat any,' a staff member says.
'She had a teriyaki beef dish instead and a bottle of San Pellegrino mineral water.'
Also adding to the rumours were Angelina's curvier figure and fuller bustline - and the telltale baby bump! Although Angelina has taken to wearing loose-fitting black clothes, the difference between now and a few months ago is marked.
Late last year Angelina suddenly started to lose weight and looked to be returning to the skeletal frame that followed her mother's death a year ago.
But friends say that was the effect of morning sickness - something Angelina suffered with during her first pregnancy.
The final indication came when Angelina paid a visit
to her LA-based 'pregnancy doctor', a doctor she saw when she was expecting Shiloh.
Unable to keep their secret any longer, Brad and Angelina are drafting an announcement, although one hadn't been issued at the time of going to press.
'They'll try to wait so they can combine it with a visit to a good cause so that at least a worthy charity can benefit from the frenzy that will erupt over the first few days,' a friend says.
'After that they'll just try and relax and enjoy the blessing.
'With Shiloh turning two in May, they didn't have a "baby" in the house - and they know if they're going to have seven, eight, nine kids they can't wait too long between arrivals.
'Everyone should be thrilled for them because they're great parents to their children - and their happy family is about to get even happier!'
