Treating warts
Q: What can I use to treat my warts?
A: According to the latest Harvard Health Letter, duct tape is about 45 per cent more effective at treating warts than the conventional liquid nitrogen treatment.
The treatment is to cut a piece of duct tape the size of the wart and wear it on the wart for six days. Remove the duct tape patch then soak and file the wart, leaving it uncovered overnight.
Continually repeat the process for two months. Dermatologist Dr Stephen Shumack says that it does seem to irritate the wart and he thinks it is worth trying. But failing that, see your GP or dermatologist for traditional solutions such as topical wart paints.
