Ghibli Museum is an extraordinary theme world embodying the vision of famous Japanese animation director, Miyazaki Hayao. His films are family favourites rooted in dreams and fables including the Oscar winner, Spirited Away and the new Howls Moving Castle.

The interactive museum, which opened in 2001, was fully designed by Miyazaki. Visitors can experience what it is like to make an animated feature.

Inside youll spy a maze of doorways, hidden passages and spiral staircases. In the first exhibit room, be enchanted by the vision of pictures and Ghibli Studios characters coming to life.

Each floor has staff members who can speak English. Outside, the skyline is dominated by a robot soldier from Laputa: Castle in the Sky.
