Does The Pill cause cancer?

Q: Dr John, I've read the pill can cause cancer. Is this true or not?

A: The Pill and Hormone Therapy is "as cancer causing" as asbestos and tobacco!

That's what the World Health Organisation bureaucrats have decided and with their decision, poked the flames of concern amongst thousands of women. This is not new information. We have known since The Women's' Health Initiative, three years ago, that prolonged use of Hormone therapy for the symptoms and effects of the menopause, caused "a small but significant rise in breast cancer".

For ages, we have also been aware the use of the Pill containing combined estrogen and progestin hormones had a very slight increase in the incidence of breast cancer and may be associated with liver and cervical cancer.

But says hormone expert, Dr Rod Baber: "It's important to put in perspective. The combined hormone oral contraceptive also protects against ovarian and endometrial cancer and to lump it in with asbestos and tobacco which are outright villains and distinct cancer causing agents does nothing but create confusion and chaos."
