Ingredients
  • Spray of canola or olive oil
  • 3 sheets ready-rolled puff pastry
  • 75g butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 2 x 450g cans of apple pie filling
  • Custard, to serve
Method
1. Preheat oven to 190C.
2. Lightly spray 6 x 2-cup capacity pie dishes with oil and line with puff pastry. Then line with greaseproof paper and fill with baking weights. Place in the oven for 10 minutes, then remove paper and baking weights and place back into the oven for 2 minutes to dry out slightly.
3. While the pastry is cooking, melt the butter in the microwave and add to the sugar and flour. Using either a fork or your fingers, combine until the mixture resembles a fine crumble.
4. Spoon the apple filling into the pie cases and top with the crumble. Return to the oven and cook for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the crumble becomes golden and the filling is hot.
5. Serve with hot custard or on their own if preferred.
