On Sunday July 1, 2007, the daughter of Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Denmark was christened at 11:30 a.m. in Fredensborg Palace Church, Fredensborg.
The christening robe worn by young Isabella was made for the christening of Prince Christian, later to become Christian X, in Christiansborg Palace Chapel in 1870. The christening robe was made of Brussels lace, which the mother of Christian X, Queen Lovisa, had bought in Belgium. Together with the christening robe there are a train, a silk ribbon to be tied around the waist, a cushion case, a bib as well as a fine organza apron.
Tasmania's gift to the young princess is a bracelet featuring Tasmanian apple seeds designed by jeweller Diane Allison.
Princess Mary and Prince Frederik have been overwhelmed with well-wishes after the birth of their daughter.
The Palace issued a statement saying, 'Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Prince and Crown Princess are very touched by all the warm wishes and congratulations they have received on the occasion of the birth of their daughter on April 21, 2007.'
The healthy baby girl weighed 3.35 kilograms. After her birth, an ecstatic Crown Prince Frederik told a throng of waiting reporters the birth at Copenhagen University Hospital took six hours.
He said the birth was as beautiful and impressive as that of their first child, Prince Christian, in October 2005, though, "one wasn't as scared as the first time."
"I feel great joy and great happiness - first of all, because they both came very well as you would expect it to be and I can only say it's a relief, but full of happiness and love," he said at the time.

Let's just hope they won't call her Bella or Isi. That won't suit the princess at all.
