Ingredients
- 600g beef mince
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tblsp barbecue sauce
- 1/2 x 40g packet French onion soup mix
- 1/2 cup stale breadcrumbs
- 2 tblsps oil
- 375g packet spaghetti
- 700ml jar tomato pasta sauce
- 150g baby spinach leaves
- Fresh small basil leaves, to garnish
- Bread rolls, to serve
Method
1 Place mince, onion, sauce, soup mix and breadcrumbs in a large bowl. Using your hands, mix until combined. Roll heaped tablespoons of mixture into balls.
2 Heat oil in a shallow non-stick frying pan. Add mince balls. Cook, turning frequently, until browned all over and cooked through.
3 Meanwhile, add spaghetti to a large saucepan of boiling salted water. Boil, uncovered, for 12 minutes or until tender. Drain. Return spaghetti to pan. Stir in pasta sauce and meatballs. Stir gently over heat until sauce is hot. Stir through spinach.
4 Top with basil leaves to garnish. Serve with bread rolls.
