Dancing With The Stars winner Adam Brand and his partner Jade Hatcher have hot-stepped it into a full-blown romance.

Days after country singer Adam, 39, won top prize on the Seven Network celebrity dance contest, he confirms he has fallen for the gorgeous professional dancer, who’s just 19.

‘We have formed a special bond and we’ve become very close,’ twice-divorced Adam says. ‘We’ve been through an amazing journey together and had a great time.’

Show stoppers
The couple have openly flaunted their new relationship, kissing and cuddling their way around Australia last week.

The first stop was Sydney, where Jade and Adam had dinner with her parents at the family’s home on the city’s northern beaches. The crooner went out of his way to impress, arriving at the home with a big bunch of flowers.

‘He was met at the door by Jade, who was smiling and gave him a big hug,’ a source says. ‘It was definitely blossoming love. They looked like giddy teenagers.’ 

The family get-together was clearly a success, with the lovers unable to contain their mutual affection while they were at Sydney airport waiting for a flight to Adelaide the next day.

‘They were kissing a lot while they had some breakfast,’ a fellow traveller says. ‘They’re obviously very comfortable with each other, and fell asleep in each other’s arms on the flight. It was quite sweet.’

After taking a romantic leisurely stroll through the city centre of Adelaide, Jade watched with delight as Adam took the stage at the Royal Adelaide Show.

Love in the stars
This isn’t the first time Dancing With The Stars has produced a headline-grabbing love match.

Cupid’s arrow really seems to have struck this year’s contestants, with model Emily Scott rumoured to be romantically linked to her dance partner Michael Miziner.

In 2005, former contestant Tom Williams famously fell for his partner Kym Johnson, and in last year’s series Home And Away actor Luke Jacobz split up with his long-term girlfriend and is now dating his dance partner Luda Kroitor.


Sharing and caring
‘She is kind of cute,’ says Adam, who serenaded Jade during one of their final dances with his aptly named new song Ready For Love.

‘We’re very fond of each other. It’s been a surreal experience, going through this roller-coaster together. You’re basically spending seven days a week with someone and it puts you in this situation where you become close.’

But some of Jade’s former school friends at Sydney’s elite Ravenswood School For Girls are baffled by the romance, and they are concerned her heart will be broken due to the age difference.


Let’s wait and see
The clearly smitten couple are happy to take their new relationship one step at a time. 'I’ve just signed a record deal in America and I’m moving to Nashville in January – so it’s not a great basis to start a relationship on,’ he says. ‘We’ve got to see if we want to be with each other so we’re taking it one day at a time.’
