1. Information on “how to enter” and prizes form part of conditions of entry. Entry into this competition deems acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Enter as many times as you wish, by mailing in the original entry form, ringing the telephone number or sending an SMS text to the number as published. 1900/SMS entrants will be asked to leave/text their name, address, daytime telephone number along with their puzzle answers. SMS entries should be in the format: NAME, ADDRESS, POSTCODE, PUZZLE ANSWERS. m.Net Corporation maximum SMS and call cost $0.55 including GST. Not available from pay phones.
3. Multiple entries are permitted, however: (a) each entry by must be submitted separately and in accordance with the entry requirements outlined herein, and (b) only one prize will be awarded per person excluding minor prize winners who will also have a chance at winning a major prize. After provisional winners are drawn for all prizes, the Promoter will de duplicate provisional winners’ lists ensuring clause 3(b) is adhered to. For prizes affected by this provision further winners will be drawn immediately to replace earlier provisional winners affected by this process.
4. Entry is open to all residents of Australia except employees and immediate families of the Promoter, associated companies and agencies and participating outlets. The Promoter is Pacific Magazines Pty Ltd, 35–51 Mitchell Street, McMahons Point, NSW, 2060 (ABN 16 097 410 896).
5. The competition commences on 06/07/09 at 09:00 and closes on 27/06/10 at 17:00 AEST. The weekly competitions commence on [refer to date schedule at clause 6] at 09:00 and close on [refer to date schedule at clause 6] at 17:00 AEDT.
6. The winners will be randomly drawn at the premises of m.Net Corporation Ltd Level 2, 8 Leigh Street Adelaide SA 5000 on [refer to date schedule at clause 6] at 12:00. The Promoter will ensure that all entries have an equal chance of winning the major prize.

7. Total prize value is $1,500 each week (as at 04/05/09) over 50 weekly draws. Each draw comprises of 1 x major prize of $500 cash, 6 x $100 cash and 8 x $50 cash. Cash will be made payable to winners in the form of a cheque. Prizes will be drawn from highest to lowest prize value, beginning with the major prize. As entries are opened they are allocated a prize so long as the entrant has answered the associated question correctly. If an answer is left blank or is answered incorrectly then the entry is put aside and allocated to the next highest value prize that the entrant has answered correctly until each prize category quantity is exhausted. This process is continued for each prize on offer in the draw.
8. Prizes will be sent within 28 days.
9. The winners will be notified by mail and names of winners of prizes over the value of $250 will be published in New Idea magazine on-sale [refer to date schedule at clause 6] respectively.
10. The Promoter may conduct such further draws on 07/04/10 (for issues 28-52, 2009) and 06/10/10 (for issues 1-25, 2010) at the same time and place as the original draws in order to distribute any prizes unclaimed by these dates, subject to state and territory legislation. Winners of any further draws will be published in New Idea magazine on sale 03/05/10 (for issues 28-52, 2009) and 01/11/10 (for issues 1-25, 2010).
11. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process. In particular, SMS entries via the internet, computer generation or “scripting” are invalid and will not be accepted. Website entries using “scripting” for multiple entries will not be accepted. The cost of sending an SMS message is the entrant’s responsibility and will not exceed 55 cents including GST. Some service providers and call plans may not provide access to Premium SMS. Entrants must ensure that all care is taken when sending messages to enter this SMS promotion. It is the entrant’s responsibility to SMS the correct number. The Promoter will not be liable for costs incurred, responses received or any other consequences of user error. Any SMS entries submitted after the promotion period has closed will not be included in the promotion and will be charged 55 cents (including GST).
12. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned including infection by computer virus, mobile phone failure, line drop out, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter [subject to state and territory legislation] reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion. The Promoter and their associated agencies and companies will not be liable or responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems of the phone or of any phone network, or any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur during the draw; whilst undertaking any travel won on or connected with their entry into the draw; in the participation in any prize; as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail, email SMS or phone call; due to the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person; any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer software or phone; or any combination thereof, related to or resulting from participation or sending or receiving of any communication or of any materials in this competition.
13. All competition entries must be able to be posted to and received at the post office box address supplied for the particular competition. No hand delivered or bulky entries will be accepted upon receiving at the Promoter’s premises for any competition, unless otherwise stated herein. Mail entries that contain any objects that have not been requested by the Promoter (such as backing cards or excess paper) will not be accepted. Any entries that do not follow these requirements will be deemed invalid and will not be received by the Promoter or its agents. The Promoter and its agents take no responsibility whatsoever for such entries that do not follow these prescribed guidelines. The Promoter advises entrants not to send entries to the Promoter’s street address as these entries may be deemed invalid.
14. The Promoter highly recommends a DL sized (business) envelope is used in submitting postal entries. Entries sent via Registered mail or in smaller unique envelopes will not be guaranteed entry into the competition due to increased sorting, handling and storage required by Australia Post. The Promoter also encourages competition entrants to clearly print full addresses and names on envelopes as clear as possible for ease of processing by Australia Post and therefore entry into the competition.
15. For any cash prizes your name on your entry must be that of an eligible bank account to which a cheque can be cashed. The Promoter makes all reasonable efforts to send cheques in the names as specified in the original entry. Winning entries with only a family name or reference to a family as the entrant cannot be cashed by banks. If the winner of a cash prize is under 18, the prize will be given to the winners’ parent or guardian to be held on trust until the winner turns 18.
16. The Promoter highly recommends a current residential street address be provided when requested for ease of correspondence and potential prize delivery. The Promoter makes all reasonable efforts to deliver prizes to the addresses provided by competition entrants. The Promoter cannot guarantee that any prizes returned to the Promoter due to non-delivery at the provided address will be resent to the prize winner.
17. Inaudible, incomprehensible, illegible, and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid. All entries become the property of the Promoter and cannot be returned.
18. If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to State Regulation. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and prize supplier’s requirements.Each prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated.
19. The Promoter reserves the right to redraw in the event of an entrant, claiming to be a winner, being unable to satisfy these Terms and Conditions.
20. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of residency, proof of age at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity (including phone bill) in order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency, age and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
21. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on each person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries. Prizes are subject to availability, not transferable or exchangeable and, with the exception of cash prizes, cannot be taken as cash. Prizes will be sent to the winner’s nominated address as stated in their original entry. The Promoter and their associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
22. All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the Promoter who may publish or cause to be published any of the entries received. The Promoter collects personal information from entrants to include entrants in the promotion and where appropriate award prizes. If the personal information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. By participating in the promotion, each entrant also acknowledges that a further primary purpose for collection of entrants personal information by the Promoter is to enable the Promoter to use the information to assist the Promoter in improving goods and services and to contact entrants in the future with information on special offers or provide entrants with marketing materials via any medium including, but not limited to, mail, telephone and commercial electronic messages. The Promoter may share information with its Pacific related companies or promotional partners who may contact entrants in this way with special offers.
23. By entering the promotion, each entrant agrees that the Promoter may use entrants’ personal information in this manner. The entrant also agrees that the Promoter may publish or cause to be published the winner’s name and locality in any media as required under the relevant lottery legislation. Entrants can also gain access to, update or correct any personal information by contacting the Privacy Officer, Pacific Magazines Pty Ltd, 35-51 Mitchell Street, McMahons Point, NSW 2060. All personal information will be securely stored by the Promoter. Pacific Magazines and their related companies pride themselves on quality information and communication to its valued customers. If you consent, we will contact you for an unlimited period to keep you informed about future products, services and events, until you decide to opt out.
24. In participating in the prizes, the winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winners (and their companions) agree to granting the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners (and their companions) will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
25. Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of that prize.
26. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered, including but not limited to direct or consequential loss, or personal injury suffered or sustained during the course of prize winning trips or in connection with the redemption of and/or use of any other prizes. Any change in value of the prize occurring between the publishing date and date the prize is claimed is not the responsibility of the Promoter.
27. Winners of any age may be required to provide satisfactory identification and sign a winner’s deed of release or any other relevant forms or agreements that the Promoter deems necessary before a prize may be awarded.
