Spaghetti and meatballs

Ingredients
  • 20 meatballs reserved from
  • Italian Meatball Burgers recipe
  • (see link below)
  • 785g jar tomato pasta sauce
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 500g angel hair pasta
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan
  • 25g butter
  • Salt and pepper

 

 

 

Two meals from the one recipe!  Make these luscious meatballs using the Italian meatball burgers recipe.  Spaghetti tonight.. burgers tomorrow!

 

1 Place meatballs in a large saucepan. Add pasta sauce and stock. Bring to boil. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes, or until sauce is hot and slightly thickened.


2 Meanwhile, cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling, salted water until tender. Drain. Return to same pan off heat. Add parsley, parmesan and butter. Season with salt and pepper. Toss to combine.


3 Garnish meatballs and pasta with extra parmesan. Serve with salad.

Spaghetti with any sort of meat or sauce is not only a very tasty meal, but can be cooked in batches & then placed into individual containers for freezing. Then the next time you feel like spaghetti, all you have to do is add some water to the frozen spaghetti & cook it in the microwave.
