Suri's enormous play room

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes bought a New York apartment and turned it into a playroom for their daughter Suri.

The Hollywood couple have reportedly been purchasing several apartments in the 12-storey building, and thought two-year-old Suri could benefit from a bigger area to keep her toys in.

A source said: "Tom and Katie now keep five units in the building. They turned one into Suri's playroom. One they use for a gym, and two apartments are for staff. In the past couple of months they've bought up all these other apartments. They're all separate and on different floors."

However, while 'Mission: Impossible' star Tom has been attempting to mix with the neighbours, Katie - who is in the city starring in Broadway play 'All My Sons' - has been keeping to herself.

The source added to a New York newspaper: "Tom is seen coming in and out all the time, and he's really friendly to everyone he meets. But Katie just kind of keeps her head down. Everyone in the neighbourhood is buzzing about it."

A representative for the couple denied the claims.

I didnt think suri would need toys, i'm surprised tom will allow it, lol.

Tom and Katie are digging a big hole for themselves. This child is going to have major issues when she grows up. Suri is very spoilt and gets everything she wants, this is not good for a child. another Paris Hilton but worse

Despite his eccentricities and seemingly controlling behaviour- Tom and Katie do love their child.

Heck- I know I'd probably do it if I had the money.

*thinks* no, actually, I'm one of those "teach kids the value of money"...
Although- thats how he raised Con and Bella...

suri is a cute little girl and very rich parents i hope she grows up normal but that is unlikely to happen.

Thats the first time I've seen Suri wear a T-shirt maybe the playroom is a good thing they seem to be relaxing on the dress code

Can't help but be a little envious when my own children are struggling for survival and just managing to keep a roof over their heads. Just wish I had enough cash to see them comfortable. :(
