Camilla, the woman critics once dubbed 'the laziest woman in Britain' has decided to end her royal tour of East Asia early because it is 'too hot'.
Camilla and her husband Prince Charles are due to go on a high-profile trip to Japan, Brunei and Indonesia later this month. However, senior royal aides have admitted that Camilla has cancelled the final leg of the journey - including a visit to a local rainforest - as it would be ‘too arduous'.
This isn't the first time Camilla has found the royal life overwhelming. The Duchess almost fainted during a trip to India in 2006 and the Queen, who is 82 years her senior carries out almost twice as many engagements as the Camilla each year.
Despite Camilla's cancellation, sources maintain that she is still ‘very committed' to the tour and simply needs the time at home to ‘catch her breathe' before Remembrance Day and Prince Charles' 60th birthday celebrations commence.
Charles and Camilla's $616,000 trip commences on October 27. The royal couple is to spend 4 days together in Japan before Charles heads to Brunei for two days and Camilla makes her way back to Britain.
Charles and Camilla will be travelling on privately chartered flights with a 15 person entourage, including a private secretary, hairdresser and 2 body guards for Camilla.
Despite this, officials insist that this is the most cost-effective and green way to travel between the three countries in 10 days.
