Off-screen, Marcia Cross couldn't be any less of a desperate housewife as she lapped up precious moments with her gorgeous young family.

She put the unhinged events of Wisteria Lane far behind her as she enjoyed a sunny Saturday afternoon at a public swimming pool with husband Tom Mahoney and their gorgeous twin daughters Eden and Savannah.

The girls, soon to turn 18 months old, were gorgeous in their matching sun-safe outfits complete with hot pink hats, while the flame-haired star was also sun-smart, hiding her famous locks and ivory skin under a brimmed hat, paired with long shorts and a singlet.
Clearly, motherhood agrees with her.

'I wanted to be a member of that club so badly, and now I'm in and it's so much better than I even imagined,' she says.

Already back to a fabulous post-baby figure, which Marcia credits to Pilates, yoga and running after her littlies, it was one picture-perfect moment after another. And both parents were happy to have their hands full as the twins splashed around
on a hot day in Santa Monica.

The fun in the sun doubled as early swimming lessons as the tots bobbed happily in the pool with their parents always in arm's reach.

Although Marcia, 46, was well aware having children so late in life was a risk, the family seems blessed with health and happiness.

When her daughters arrived, Marcia couldn't contain her joy - and her happiness continues to bubble over, with regular outings to the pool and parks making the actress beam.

'Even before I was 30, I started thinking about motherhood,' the small-screen star says.

It's clear that motherhood is Marcia's favourite role in life.
