Nicole Kidman has been a Hollywood superstar for twenty years and she has the Oscar to prove it - and there seems to be no limit to the scope of her extraordinary life.

But even the most ardent fan of the Aussie beauty would have been hard pushed to imagine her having much of an impact on this year's Olympics!

But Malcolm Page and Nathan Wilmot were quick to thank Nicole for her words of encouragement after they scooped the gold medal in 470-class sailing.

Nicole had become a fan after hearing that the duo had named their gold medal-winning boat Australia - as a salute to Kidman's soon-to-be released film.

Their previous skiffs have been named Bangkok Hilton, Dead Calm and Days of Thunder after some of Niclle's earlier movies!
