How long have you lived in Bondi?

I feel like a fraud now, but only since December!

What made you decide to move to the beach?

Before I lived here I lived in Paddington for four years, and I found I was coming to Bondi most days of the week, either for a run or a swim, or to lie on the beach. So I had been thinking about it for a while, and then I just eventually decided to make the move.

On your down time what do you like to get up to?

I'm a pretty outdoorsy person, so I don't really spend much time hanging out at home. In summer I spend a lot of time at the beach. Although in the last couple of years I've cut down a lot on that - there's no time!

How do you like to stay in shape?

I do something called 'Swat', which is kind of like a boot camp idea. I do it with my best mate Alex Moody. He has his own personal training company called 'Body Foundations'. We've known each other since before primary school; we went to the same high school and the same primary school, and now I will be his best man at his wedding later this year. And yes, he works me!

Tell us a bit about your motorbike - is that how you get to and from work?

It's a 250cc cruiser; a 'Subaru Intruder'. I use it to get to the studio - unless it's raining. It's great. It's so easy for parking and getting around Sydney. I've become very intolerant in traffic since I've had the bike because sitting in a car in traffic is a nightmare.

Have you had any stacks?

Just once, when I'd just got my bike. It was just when it started raining, when the roads were really greasy. But luckily I could have been going that speed on my pushbike.

What's your favourite Bondi cafe?

Jeds has become my local. I've got friends who live within walking distance, so we hang out here a fair bit. In Bondi, there are a lot of people who don't work regular hours, so there's always someone around.

Do you live on your own?

I do at the moment. Before I moved to Bondi, I lived with my cousin Dave for eight years, which is kind of a long time really.

Was it a bit of a bachelor pad?

It was a bit. But now him and his girlfriend have moved in together so I moved into a place in Bondi with someone, and now I'm just living on my own.

How do you find that?

I spend so little time at home at the moment that my place doesn't really feel lived in. But that's OK. I would like to live with someone though - it's nice to have a bit of company when you're at home.

Are you single?

Did you get that because I live alone? But yeah, I am. I've actually never lived with a girlfriend ever.

Do you get many people coming up to you and recognising you from Sunrise?

I do, but everyone has been really nice. Mostly people just want to come up and ask whether Mel and Kochie are really like what they are on the show.

And are they?

They are exactly the same! It's amazing, I have been asked that question so many times since I started, but you can't fake it for three hours of live TV every day. They really are just exactly like they come across.
