Having jetted to Paris to celebrate a quarter of a century of unmarried bliss with partner Kurt Russell, Goldie Hawn has decided to lift the lid on what makes her relationship work. And staying sexy is top of her list.
'The work you have to do to keep a marriage alive or love alive or sex alive is crazy,' Goldie says. 'But I'll tell you this, when sex is gone out of a marriage, you've got to decide if you're going to be friends or break up. Because sex is important.'
At 62 and a grandmother, Goldie actively works to keep the spark alive in her and Kurt's love-life. One way she makes her sex sizzle is to dress up in naughty outfits for the man she loves.
'I do,' she giggles. 'And by the way, it's fun! I really enjoy donning an outfit.'
She also encourages Kurt, who just turned 57, to flirt with other girls because it reminds her how lucky she is to have him.
Flirting is healthy, tension is good,' Goldie says. 'I want a girl to want Kurt. I like it. It's up to Kurt how he handles it. We argue, but it shows I still care.'
While everyone expects this blissful duo to eventually tie the knot, Goldie reckons her unmarried status keeps them tight.
'What I do like about the fact we're not married is when I wake up, I really do wake up fresh and new and reborn. And I know
I can walk out at any moment,' she says.
'He feels the same, but we choose to be together. If you intend to stay married or you intend to stay happy, then that intention in itself will hold you together.'
