The ultimate rock star couple by any standard, Australian beauty Elle Macpherson and Canadian rocker Bryan Adams have rekindled their romance of last year.

The fashion entrepreneur and former supermodel, who turns 45 this month, seems to be over her toy boy phase after a brief romance with 21-year-old art curator Vito Schnabel. Elle has been seen on the arms of a few men recently, but Bryan is the one who has stolen the Aussie's heart.

A friend says: 'Elle knows how to have fun, and has no intention of slowing down. But everyone reaches a point where they want something more.'

Now friends say she's looking for a man her own age, and the 48-year-old singer is top of her list.

Elle's no stranger to car-seat liaisons - she was spotted kissing young Vito at 1am in her luxury car - but there is more maturity in her latest love affair.

Last year the mother-of-two was seen sharing a kiss at the door of Bryan's London home after a night of partying at the opening of his photography exhibition.

The pal says: 'Elle and Bryan were keeping their relationship a secret until they were sure they wanted their romance to be more. But it's easy to see they're a perfect match.'

Now Bryan is in full swing promoting his new album 11 and isn't shy about showing off his glamorous gal pal.

Meanwhile, Elle's former partner and the father of her children, Swiss financier Arki Busson, has been forced to deny reports he's engaged to Uma Thurman.

The pair have been dating since July last year, with Arki reportedly close to her daughter Maya, nine, and son Levon, six, from her marriage to actor Ethan Hawke.

It's no secret Uma is keen for a third child, her first with Arki, after admitting that she'd consulted a doctor about another pregnancy.

Maybe before long Elle will be clucky again too.
