I was shocked to learn that one in three Australian women will experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime and according to a global survey conducted by The Body Shop, 71% of these women are more likely to confide in a friend, than seek assistance from authorities.

In association with White Ribbon, an international campaign eliminating violence against women, The Body Shop will be offering free wallet-sized information cards for customers to share with friends or family, which offer advice, tips and support options for people experiencing or witnessing domestic violence. They will also be selling a limited edition Shea Butter Lip Care Stick Duo, $12.95, designed especially for sharing with a friend to help raise awareness.
