UK high street retailer Topshop has joined forces with the Helmut Newton Foundation to install the 'Newton Machine' – the iconic photographer's self-portrait photography contraption – in stores around the UK.
First designed in the 1970s, the Newton Machine lets photographers, models, and ordinary people alike take the perfect shot while standing in front of a mirror. Topshop has brought the concept back to life, with self-snappers lining up at the Oxford Circus store in London to experience their own photographic moment and have their style shots uploaded to an online gallery.
