When a beauty giant like Elizabeth Arden pairs with a hot young designer, we expect a gorgeous partnership. Which is exactly what happened today at the Camilla show. The designer's rainbow of kaftans, frocks and jumpsuits were perfectly set off with bronzed, glowing skin and lots of sparkling crystals. I caught up with make-up director Isabella Schimid who created the look for Elizabeth Arden backstage. She said, "I worked the look from the (soon to be launched) Elizabeth Arden bronze kit to create four key looks that complimented every aspect of the collection. The natural earthy tones created a perfect base that worked with every look in the show, from Mediterranean to Morrocco." So why the Swarovski crystals? "Camilla wanted an element of theatre and drama to the show and the crystals created a stand out look which compliment the clothes and make up". While I won't be gluing gems to my face any time soon, I'll definitely be copying the gorgeous golden make-up Isabella created.
