Emily Taylor notices a fair trend on the runways of Australian Fashion Week.
A key beauty trend we saw emerging on the opening day of Rosemount Australian Fashion Week was pale skin. Instead of the usual bronzed goddesses we've come to expect, the models this year are distinctly more fair. The look was evident at Nicola Finetti (left), where the girls showed off pale legs in short hemlines, and also at Anna Thomas.
Even the models at Wayne Cooper (left) sported toned-down tans thanks to St Tropez. I ran into Bill McKendrick from St Tropez after the show, who said "This year it's all about a natural, glowing tan, nothing over the top or obvious. It's not about people noticing your tan, but more about creating a flattering colour that makes you feel great. Remember, the only good tan is a fake tan, and they're a great pick-me up in winter". Oh, and your sun-weary complexion will love you for it.
