![]() | I loved the romantic, windswept hair at the Lee Mathews show this afternoon so much, I had to dash backstage afterwards to congratulate the hair director, Barney Martin for L'Oréal Professionnel. His inspiration for the gorgeously disheveled look? "The whole concept of the show was a break-up – the girl has split with the boy and runs, weeping through the trees. It's next-day hair but not rock and roll, it's more little-girl-lost". If only we all looked that good after getting dumped! |
![]() | "I used a small curling tong to set the models' hair in tight curls. Then I brushed them out and tamed the hair into a ponytail, back-combing the underside, creating a loose under-plait and pulling sections from underneath, pinning them on top". The whole effect was a matt, mussed-up braid style, with loose tendrils adding an 'undone' appearance. Who said breaking up was hard to do? |
