I think you should go with whats best for you. I had my daughter 6 weeks ago and planned to breastfeed (financial decision also) I suffered through engorged breasts and it hurt to attach her. They burned and had large hard lumps. Do either or both to give yourself a break and for relief.poor mums :)

Breast is always best, artificial milk is a poor second. You may be in circumstances that prevent you from breastfeeding for whatever reason, but artificial milk will never be as good for your baby as breastmilk.

Caring for children IS work rayohl. Most mums will say that work is a holiday compared to caring for kids, i'm pretty sure most "decent" men agree.
Nothing "bludger" about raising and caring for kids.
Motherwork and motherhood is under-valued in society.

if someone wants to have kids, they can pay for it out of their own pocket!
If i wanted a car I wouldnt expect YOU to pay for it so why should I pay for you to have kids?!
ust watch unemployment for women of child bearing age go through the roof! No one is going to employ them, why would they?

No way should there be paid maternity leave! You want a kid, then you need to budget for one. If you can't afford to have a kid without a paid maternity leave scheme, then you just can't afford to have one! Its incredibly unfair to force employers to pay women to pop out a brat.
