From a rose farm in Canberra where they spent their childhood, to being synonymous with Melbourne fashion, complimentary brother-sister duo - Alpha60 designers Alex and Georgie Cleary have come a long way since they emerged on Australia's fashion scene.

Unwilling to put constraints on their passionately creative approach, Alpha60's salute to popular culture is a constant source of inspiration for the label, which embraces influences from iconic films Buffalo 66, The Ice Storm, La Haine, Twin Peaks and most notably Jean-Luc Godard's 1965 cult classic Alphaville.
Since its inception, Alpha60's achievements and accolades have been many and varied including shows at Rendezvous Paris, L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival Tiffany and Co Designer Award finalists 2006 and 2007, resident uniform designers for Jaime Oliver's Fifteen Melbourne restaurant and exhibitors at the National Design Centre to name a few.
Not content to sit and smell the roses, Alpha60 have opened four Welcome to Alphaville boutiques, located in Melbourne (VIC), Fitzroy (VIC), Paddington (NSW) and Prahran (VIC).
Bringing imagination into the everyday, each Welcome to Alphaville boutique pays homage to the label's celluloid muses who gaze watchfully from the stores' crisp white walls.
Being at the forefront of understated cool, fans of Alpha60's captivating designs include Patty Smith, Klaxons, Bloc Party, Kings of Leon, LCD Sound System and Arcade Fire, who have all purchased Alpha60 pieces from the label's Melbourne city flagship boutique.
With a growing list of distributors across Australia, Japan, the US and France, and having recently been invited to design an exclusive range; The Beta State, for General Pants Co., Alpha60 has blossomed into a tour de force on the Australian fashion and design scene.
Inspired by change and a rebellion against the status quo, Alex and Georgie are never far from unveiling their next Alpha60 incarnation which will undoubtedly guide their label into full bloom.
