Introducing an entertainer's dream space: designed for stress-free soirees, this multi-function kitchen switches effortlessly between intimate dinners for two or elaborate cocktail parties, thanks to clever stow-away solutions and distinct zones.

By relegating the bulk of storage to walls, designer Peter Greenberger has freed up access routes and increased the sense of flow. The pantry is zoned close to the food preparation area where unavoidable mess can be disguised, thanks to a floating wall and a sleek upstand - meaning guests are free to wander through the separate areas without causing stress to their hosts!

The considered mix of materials, on features such as a gorgeous built-in sideboard in tulipwood, luxe chocolate glass splashback and Calcutta marble wall, bring just the right degree of drama to the space.

Filled with clever design features, the blend of practicality and glamour strikes the perfect balance; this is a kitchen ideal for almost any occasion.

1. Float away

Screen off the serious business of cooking, and all the clutter that food preparation creates, with a dividing wall. Tucked away behind this elegant floating marble wall-cum-splashback is a preparation area with an extra sink, dishwasher and generous bench space to make entertaining a breeze. It also hides everyday appliances, like the fridge and microwave, leaving the front island bench free for guests to mill around in style.

2. All in the island

Make your island do double duty - at least! With an upstand to conceal the sink, this island bench is clean and clutter-free, making it the perfect makeshift bar at parties. It also acts as chic talking point thanks to display niches in tulipwood veneer that complement the front of the island and showcase a collection of ceramic bowls and vases from Bison Australia. It's the little things that count!

3. Build them in

Break up banks of storage with streamlined built-ins that mimic living room furniture. A floating sideboard next to the wine fridge holds glassware, keeping everything within easy reach. Looking more like a piece of designer furniture than a kitchen cabinet, it is made from rich tulipwood veneer with a glossy glass splashback in Dulux Columbia for textural contrast. The sideboard also serves as occasional seating at parties - since everyone always congregates in the kitchen, shouldn't there be plenty of spots to sit?
