Style Hunter touches down in Brisbane this week for a look at the local design scene and found it truly buzzing! Get your shopping bags ready...
	FAB FABRIC Fans of Cath Kidston will swoon when they discover Danish fabric house Green Gate. Brisbane Store Swedish Style (Shop 4, 28 James Street, Fortitude Valley) exclusively import the range, with everything from floral cushions to tea cups. Check out www.greengate.dk
	GOING DOMED Our stylists have had their eye on domes for sometime. Here's a fabulous style idea that has us inspired. Check out Magnolia interiors (Shop 10, Centro on James, 23 James St, Fortitude Valley) for a chic collection and the best coral above sea!
	CARD LOVE We couldn't go past the picture perfect designs on these cards uncovered at Otilly and Lewis (116 Robertson St, Fortitude Valley). Divine!
A DAY ON EARTH Attention Style Hunters, this shop gets a very BIG mention - a treasure trove in every way! A Day on Earth is found on 18 Arthur St (Fortitude Valley) Brisbane, and is the result of a collaboration between Melbourne artist David Bromley and Brisbane artists and Gallery Owners, Jan Murphy and Philip Bacon, and each piece is like art for the home. What can we say, we just fell in love!
	These funky lights are reclaimed from the sea - they're Japanese Buoys turned into light globes.
	David Bromley's handcrafted ceramics, painted on base, are sure to cause a smile.
	This little fella was too hard to put down - he ended up inspiring a story on the New Artisans, in our November issue.

Thanks so much for your Style Hunter guide. I thought I was on the ball with the best stores in Perth but I've discovered there are a couple of amazing stores I missed, like 'remedy' in Fremantle. Worst thing is, they have an online store too so its hard to avoid!! My bank account balance is not going to look good at all thanks to Home Beautiful..

I love your Style Hunter guide. I was so excited to see great stores highlighted from around the country and have already visited quite a few stores from your Brisbane list! In fact, after shopping at the Brisbane Fabric Market, I bought all the things I needed and created my first roman blinds - and I don't mind saying I'm quite pleased with the result! Thanks HB - and please keep on featuring great talent and stores from around the country.
