The third addition to the No Chintz family brings fabulous fabrics and tactile textiles to Sydney’s Balmain

The recently opened Balmain store joins No Chintz’s sister shops in Willoughby and Woollahra. “We didn’t strive for it to look different as all three carry similar products, but the paint colours, layout and shelving lend themselves to a different ambience from our other stores,” says owner Chrissie Jeffery. “Its famous village atmosphere makes Balmain a fantastic place to be.”
The new venue is a colourful, inviting space
stuffed with bolts of beautiful fabrics, from muted linens and simple tickings
to exotically patterned ikats and cottons in
both No Chintz designs and those of international brands. There’s also a
range of homewares such as scatter cushions, lampshades, bags and even soft
toys, ranged alongside sewing essentials like reel cotton, buttons and trims.

Knowledgeable staff are on hand for advice about which fabrics to use where, and the shop also offers an interior design service. Soft furnishings can be made up in any fabric sold in store – all except chintz!
