Rihanna’s diet secrets

Riding high on the back of mega-hit single "Umbrella", West Indian pop diva Rihanna has divulged her diet secrets.

Saying that all she wants is to be toned and healthy, the svelte singer claims to never have deliberately set out to lose weight.

"I'm working out and trying to eat healthy," she says of her slimming routine. "That's making me lose weight without even thinking about it. I'm not intentionally trying to get skinny."

Rihanna has said that her fitness regimen revolved around a great deal of cardio and weight training two or three times a week. "I work with a trainer," she explained. "We work on the arms. I don't want manly, muscular arms. We work out my butt because I love my butt. [But] my legs are my main focus. I'm obsessed."

In order to maintain her trim, taut, and terrific figure she's watching everything she eats (as opposed to putting it in her mouth with her eyes closed, no doubt), and consuming carrots, loving lettuce, cucumbers and egg whites, and making her snacks fruit-based ones, and drinking plenty of water.

But she's staying well away from pasta and the like: "I like carbs," she said, "but at the end of the day, carbs are the enemy."

Are carbohydrates really the enemy, or just your tasty friend?

Use are all stupid, get over this diet [profane], life is too short, live each day as they come....... U can eat junk food but in moderate, ur body needs fatty foods as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And these celebs arent helping anyone by dieting and starving themselves! it looks gross!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if she's eating fruit she's still taking in carbs. You stop carbs all together you lose muscle mass.

omg u r dont need to be a trainer to say that carbs putt on weight but if u dont have carbs and calories what r u going to use when u go gym? like hello i think everyone needs that as they r like the main things that give u energy! i swim and do soccer and we r like always being told to eat carbs like pasta to give as energy! if u didnt have the carbs u would be sic! gosh like hello

Carbs are not the enemy. They are one of the three macronutrients ESSENTIAL for the body to function. For her purposes it's pretty important for her to limit them if she wants to stay in shape. If she was an athlete carbs would be her best friend.

Well at least shes no carbs. carbs are poisen. protein and fatty foods is the way to go! just cut the carbs and youll live a longer healthier life!

Back to Rihana, her body image is perfect. She wouldn't want to take her healthy eating regimine too far or she'll end up looking waif & horribly thin!! Sooooo unattractive & such a bad example for the younger girls who idolise these celebs!
