Within days of Papa Joe saying how much he likes his elder daughter Jessica's new beau, the buxom blonde has split with boyfriend John Mayer.

But it's not the first time the couple have split - in fact, one source has claimed that the recent visitors to Australia have split up then got back together at least 10 times during their tumultuous relationship.

With Jessica promoting new flick 'Major Movie Star' at the Cannes Film Festival in France, the couple are apparently in constant contact, despite being reported to be 'taking a break'.

Some of their 'close friends' are saying that this is a regular part of their on-again off-again relationship, while others are declaring that the couple have entered the county of Splitsville on a permanent basis.
