We asked one of Christopher Hanna's top stylists, Juny Kim for the lustiest looks in hair for this winter
What is the must have winter hairstyle?
Going Brunette this winter is definitely a must have look, we've seen so many celebrities going darker lately and it just looks so sexy! If you can't face going darker, getting a nice set of bangs is the next lusty style this winter, I just love Keira Knightly's chocolate bangs at the moment!
What style should every women embrace at least once during winter?
I like to see the warmth of flowing hair with a few organic waves through the locks. It adds an earthy warmth to a woman's style during the colder months.
What winter hair trend will we see revived in 2009?
The 1940's wave with a side part has revived, we've seen it in many runway shows this year. It seems to be a style linked with recession and hardship but looks great with a classic red lip.
What hairstyles will be going out onto the runway during winter?
Well apart from the 1940's wave, we're seeing a natural hippie-like flowing hair. Then there are the great updo's that are sleek and side-swept with the biggest style of the moment - the braid!
How can we all manage bad hair days during winter?
Well the sleeked hair with a braid is a hot look this winter, and super easy when you're having a bad hair-day or just didn't have the time to wash it. Having slightly dirty hair keeps the hair and braid in place keeping it clean and stylish!
What us the best remedy for damaged hair during winter?
Treatment, Treatment, Treatment! The cold, harsh weather can definitely take its toll on your hair. But you can look after it with a quality Gloss Treatment at the salon, which gives both protein and moisture to the hair, giving it that rich, healthy look. It's best to also maintain the good work (and money) you've put in at the salon, with a weekly hair mask, wrap your hair in hot towel (get one just out of the dryer!) then watch teli for an hour before rinsing it out. Your hair will love you for it!
What is the best updo for winter?
I like to keep it loose and natural, not too pulled off the face to keep it soft. Have a few loose hairs to drop and frame the face, and if you have those lusty bangs I mentioned above side swept across the forehead. Loose curls pinned at the nape of the neck keeping it soft and gorgeous.
What is your favourite winter hair look?
I like to keep it earthy and natural, with a few subtle highlights to keep the look warm. Flowing, with a few subtle waves
