Cancer returns for Patrick Swayze

Patrick Swayze's cancer has reportedly spread to his liver.

The 'Dirty Dancing' star - who announced earlier this year he is suffering from pancreatic cancer - has started preparing himself for death by saying goodbye to his friends and family after discovering the deadly disease has infected another part of his body.

A source told National Enquirer magazine: "Patrick recently got word that the cancer had spread to his liver and that is what his doctors said would begin the countdown to the end. Patrick knew it was coming because he was suffering increased weakness.

"At times, he was so weak that he could barely walk without feeling faint. Sometimes he feels out of breath and has to sit down."

Patrick, 56, has reportedly told Lisa, his wife of 33 years, and his brother Donny that he doesn't have long to live.

The source added: "Lisa phoned Donny in Los Angeles and told him he need to come to Chicago, where Patrick has been filming TV show 'The Beast'. She was crying and scared Donny to death.

"Donny got the impression his brother was already on his deathbed because Lisa was saying Patrick wanted to say goodbye. She couldn't stop crying."

Patrick has been undergoing pioneering Cyberknife radiotherapy at California's Stamford University Medical Center, and had been making a steady recovery from the illness.

I was shocked when I read that headline a few moments ago. It makes me feel so tremendously sad. I can only hope the story is inaccurate.
When talking about Patrick Swayze, people always refer first to Dirty Dancing but I really loved him in North and South. That was such a great miniseries.

Patrick, you have been an amazing role model for celebrity with goodwill and kind heart. You are the rare breed of that celebrity that actually uses fame to make this world a better place to live in and it has been my priviledge to have known that there are saints in this world even in Hollywood.

My heart goes out to Parick and his family at this difficult time.
Still working so obviously still fighting.
Hopefully one day soon, we may be rid of this scourge that takes affects so many lives
His movie, Dirty Dancing, will stay in my library for ever

gcg_genc : You are a fool. All those that smoke and even those about to take up smoking - the kids and the matured folk, all know that smoking causes cancer. If they get this fatal disease, it is of their own making. Spending money on educating those with habits is a waste of money.

My wife died 3 years ago. She had cancer in her lungs, liver, kidney & bones. She sufferred for 8 months & 3 days. She died with dignity. Peace be with you Patrick Swayze.
