Awkward Pussycat Doll never fitted in

Nicole Scherzinger grew up feeling "awkward" about her looks.

The Pussycat Dolls beauty, who is dating Formula 1 racing driver Lewis Hamilton, never felt like she fitted in when she was a teenager. Nicole, who was born in Hawaii, said: "We always say that inside every woman there is a Pussycat Doll, but I don't always know that about myself. I always grew up feeling awkward because I came from a town where not everybody looked like me.

"I found myself in something that I was passionate about, which was singing, and dancing. I focused on that. I put my heart, and soul into it."

The 30-year-old singer has also urged her fans to embrace their bodies and realise everyone has their own unique beauty.

Nicole added: "Stay true to who you are. Keep the faith. Be yourself, and love yourself.

"You are beautiful. Just find it from within, and so you can then shine your beauty on to other people."

These comments are just a reflection on the current beauty ideals shoved down our throats by the media. Why can't you love yourself if you aren't a size 4 or 6? I am a size 14 to 16, am a mother of 7 children and only need to lose some weight for my health. Otherwise I am happy.

My my my there are some nasty comments below!!! Nicole may be tiny and gorgeous but the reason for that is the fact that she has learned to love herself enough to work her body and diet and exercise and sacrifice pleasures that most people indulge on (food/drink).

for me shes very pretty since shes half filipino and german but shes more beautifull coz she get a filipina beauty and a nice attitude... more power nicole all filipino are proud of u and your talent!!!!!!
