In the darkest corner of a Parisian nightclub Kylie Minogue made no attempt to hide her affection for Spanish model Andres Velencoso during Dita Von Teese's birthday party.

Velencoso, 10 years Minogue's junior, has lucrative modelling contracts with Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Lacoste and Emporio Armani.

Onlookers say the chemistry between the pair was palpable throughout the night.

"It was Dita's party but Kylie was definitely the star of the show. She was turning heads and people were asking about the guy she was sitting with."

However, tongues were wagging once people recognised the the striking resemblance between the model and Kylie's infamous love-rat ex, Olivier Martinez.

It seems the 40-year-old Aussie definitely has a weakness for tall, dark and handsome Europeans. Then again, who doesn't?
