'X-Men' actress Halle Berry is reportedly engaged to Gabriel Aubry, the father of her one-month-old daughter Nahla Ariela. Gabriel, a Canadian model, is said to have popped the question to Halle and presented her with an engagement ring that belonged to his grandmother.

 "Gabriel felt the time was right to propose", reveals a close source to the couple. "He gave her the family heirloom because he wanted to show how much she means to him, and how she will be accepted in the Aubry family."

 Halle was first spotted with a diamond ring on her finger at the Revlon Walk/Run for Women in Los Angeles at the weekend. She  was also seen wearing a necklace with the letter 'N' for Nahla.

The 41-year-old actresss, who last started in the movie 'Things We  Lost in the Fire', is set to appear in the psychological drama 'Frankie and Alice'.
