Mischa: I'm proud of my cellulite

Mischa Barton is proud of her curves.

The actress - who was recently photographed in a bikini showing visible signs of cellulite - says as long as her rocker boyfriend Taylor Locke likes her body, she is happy.

She said: "I have a woman's body. I have hips and boobs so when I gain any weight it goes straight there, which I don't mind because it gives me curves. But it goes straight there".

The former 'O.C.' star - who was born in Britain but raised in the US - also insists she has no body worries and does her best to stay healthy. She added to America's OK! magazine: "I'm not self conscious about my body. I eat really healthily and I work out. Everybody has things that they are conscious of that they don't like but, like any girl, I talk about this with my girlfriends all the time.

"We work out and we eat healthy and we do what we do, I feel very comfortable. I come from a European family that's always very comfortable with their bodies. You are what you are as a woman."

Fair enough. My only argument is :" like any girl, I talk about this with my girlfriends all the time."

Actually, "normal" girls don't talk about them,selves or their bodies all the time.

I'm with kellyqld. If she's not bothered about her body shale then why does she talk "all the time" about it. Methinks she protests too much.

People and the Media need to get off her back. And everyone wonders why we have so many young girls with eating disorders when people are interigated about their bodies.

A few inconsistencies here. She says she is not bothered about how she looks, but then talks about it all the time with her friends. She says she is confident in her body shape, but only so long as the boyfriend approves. Sounds a bit insecure to me.

When is a body good enough, not so long ago the media was downing on a very skinny model. It's about time we all learned to accept a body for what it is - personally I would rather see a body with a bit of reality than one that looks like a sneeze would blow it over.
