Today marks the launch of the eagerly anticipated International Edition of Monopoly. So, we thought to mark the occasion we’d have a look at some of the most exciting new games for kids.
Cranium WowThis
game combines sketching, sculpting, puzzle solving, acting, humming, trivia and whistling, so – as you can tell – it isn’t your average board game. In teams of two or more your goal is to race around the board and be the first to successfully complete activities from each of the categories. If you want a game that will get the family up off the couch and that requires more skill than just rolling dice, then this may be the game for you. It certainly dispels the myth that board games are bored games.
Trivial Pursuit Digital ChoiceEveryone has heard of
Trivial Pursuit, one of the most popular board games in the world (it is played in 26 languages). Now this classic game has moved into the digital age with a new Digital Choice version. This console allows users to download questions online so they can create customised games, tailored to their interests. The downside? There’s no more peeking at the cards!
PicturekaLoads of fun,
Pictureka offers a new twist on classic picture searches, with gamers having to find objects hidden within a larger picture. But it isn’t as easy as it sounds – the larger picture is constantly changing, with other players rotating and flipping the tiles that make up the image. Sound confusing? It isn’t. This game has been a big hit with some of us here at the office and gives hours of fun.
