Conditions of entry - "Raine & Horne win $10,000 towards your new home promotion"

1. Information on "how to enter" and prizes form part of conditions of entry.
2. Enter as many times as you wish, by answering the question posed in the June 2008 issue of Better Homes and Gardens in 25-words-or-less.  Enter an original submission via the internet at www.yahoo7.com.au/rh by clicking on the competition banner and entering the details requested when prompted.
3. Entry is open to all residents of Australia and New Zealand except employees and immediate families of the Promoter, associated companies and agencies. The Promoter is Raine & Horne Pty Limited, Level 5/55 Harrington Street, Sydney, NSW 2000 (ABN 76 003 625 634).
4. The competition commences on 28/04/08 at 09:00 and closes on 13/06/08 at 17:00 AEDT.  The winner will be the best entry selected having regard to creativity, at Raine & Horne Pty Limited, Level 5/55 Harrington Street, Sydney, NSW 2000 on 18/06/08.
5. Total prize value is $10,000 as at 08/01/08. The prize will be given as cash awarded in the form of a cheque made payable to the winner. Prize value amount stated in Australian Dollars. If a New Zealand resident wins the prize, the prize value of $10,000 will be converted into New Zealand dollars on the day that the winner is chosen, being the 18/06/08.
6. If the winner is a resident of New Zealand, the Promoter will make a currency conversion at a time as soon as possible after the draw time and they will not be held responsible for any foreign exchange rate losses to what ever extent that may be. All reasonable care will be taken to secure an exchange rate to the figure that the open market dictates.
7. The judges' decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on each person who enters. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. No correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries. Prizes are subject to availability, not transferable or exchangeable and, with the exception of cash prizes, cannot be taken as cash. The Promoter and their associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
8. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned including infection by computer virus, line drop out, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter [subject to any written directions given under the Lottery And Gaming Regulations 1993 (SA)] reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems of the phone or of any phone network, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's phone related to or resulting from participation or sending or receiving of any communication or of any materials in this competition.
9. The winner will be notified by email and the winners name will be published online at www.yahoo7.com.au/rh on 20/06/08.
10. The Promoter collects entrants' personal information in order to conduct the promotion and notify winners. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion.
11. Entrants' personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and winners' names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to: Privacy Officer, Raine & Horne Pty Limited, Level 5/55 Harrington Street, Sydney, NSW, 2000. If you consent (opt in box available when submitting your entry) the Promoter and/ or sponsor may use your personal details to send you promotional material regarding their products and services.
12. In participating in the prize, the winner agrees to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winner (and their companions) agrees to grant the promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners (and their companions) will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
13. The prize winner is advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of that prize.
14. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered, including but not limited to direct or consequential loss, or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the redemption of and/or use of any other prizes.  Any change in value of the prize occurring between the publishing date and date the prize is claimed is not the responsibility of the Promoter.
