Benefits of the office

Feb 08 12:22pm

It can be quite handy working in the Better Homes and Gardens office. Here's an example:

Yesterday our decorating editor, Dora, discovered the front strap on one of her shoes was broken. The ankle strap was still doing its job and holding the back of her foot in place, but the front of her foot was now trying to make a break for freedom, slipping wildly around the shoe.

So, determined to fix the problem, Dora just headed down to the DIY department, where a few willing helpers glued her shoe back together. After an hour or so under a heavy book, it seems as good as new.

If only I could bring in my broken book shelves, and perhaps the ingredients for a four course meal ...

Until next time,

Sue
