Peace quilt for hospital

Nov 28 02:38pm

Make it for love, hope, joy, peace and happiness.

A hand stitched quilt from the pattern in the July 2003 issue of the magazine has been donated by a stitching group to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Victoria.

The group that includes June Overton, Jenny Francis, Faye Baker, Kathy Newham, Bronwen Hannon and Pauline Thomas has been working on their craft for over 12 years together and have forged a close friendship. While they usually complete items for themselves and families, they thought it would be good to work together on a larger project to donate to Peter Mac.

The quilt titled Peace Quilt is now hanging in the entrance to the Chapel for all to enjoy.
