Decorate small terracotta pots and
turn them into labels for your herb garden.
Small terracotta pots are not ony useful for growing seedlings, cuttings, cacti or succulents - turn them upside down and you have a pot top.!
Pot tops make durable plant labels and also mean you won't poke an eye out on a garden stake! We painted these with leftover acrylic craft paint. They're quick and easy to make, so whip up a few for yourself or as a gift for a garden lover.
To make the herb label pot tops, you'll need some short lengths of thin dowel, thin wire, Liquid Nails, paint and brushes.
Here's how:1. Paint the stakes a bright green and, when dry, wind a short length of wire around one end. Squeeze on some Liquid Nails and glue the stick to the inside of the base of the pot.
2. When the adhesive has set, paint the outside of the pot and write on it any way you like.
There's no need to be too flash with the paint or the writing - rustic is best.
