Before printing set page layout to landscape (Print > Printer > Set up)

Design area
11 x 16cm

You'll need:
30 x 35cm rectangular light mocha 28-count Quaker cloth (Art. 3993.140.309)
DMC stranded cotton as in the colour key
Tapestry needle

Here's how:
1. Work the design in cross-stitch using two strands of embroidery cotton over two fabric threads.

2. Work the backstitch and French knots using one strand of embroidery cotton over two fabric threads.

3. When finished, iron on the reverse side by lifting and placing the iron. Running the iron back and forth will flatten the stitches.

4. Pick up a ready-made frame from a chain store and use it to frame your cross-stitch sampler. A brightly painted frame or one with a simple timber finish would look great.
